FUEL RECOVERY FEE
Based directly on fuel costs, the Fuel Recovery Fee is the only fair and equitable way to cover the additional rising fuel costs. The fuel cost is based on The US Energy Information Administration / Department of Energy (DOE). Those figures, updated weekly, can be found at http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/wohdp/diesel_detail_report_combined.asp. This fee is not a government imposed tax or fee. It is based on the overall cost of fuel incurred by Total Disposal to service all of our accounts.
Prior to billing, the Fuel Recovery Fee will be updated using the corresponding peak diesel rate from the previous four week period. The Fuel Recovery Fee will be implemented only when the cost of diesel fuel rises above $3.00 per gallon and will be applied to all services and charges excluding rentals and taxes.
